Earlier this week we caught up with Caitlin one of our ambassadors.

This year Caitlin has completed a double crossing of Lake Taupo (80km in 28 hours), Tsuguru Strait (41.1km in 11 hours and 37 minutes) and attempted the Catalina Channel crossing (unfortunately had to stop her swim due to bad weather). 

Caitlin is entering her second year of being an ambassador for us so here is an update of her acheivements and aspirations for the next few years.  

The water, to my swim mates and me, is a place where everyone is welcome.

Because of this, it can be viewed as one of many equalizers when it comes to diversity and inclusion, including for the LGBT community of which I am a proud member. 

In fact, during LGBT History Month, I have been reflecting on my own journey as a gay individual, including how the water has helped me be more confident and visible.
